I think Sg is into a form of public transport socialism, forcing more n more of masses into public transport - whcih they dont like -but got no choice, coz boh pian this is Sg Deal for people who dont have big pile of cash (amountinf to house value) to own private transportation

That's not what I call a developed country where Singaporeans are spoilt with many different commute options. No, if you don't have big pile of cash (almost amounting to a house!) you are consigned to doing the Sg Swing (standing in train) for whole life. So if you don't have that pile of cash, you are forced to do the car-lite jungle. I know an unemployed M'sian (who happens to be drug kinky too) with TWO CARS to take his large family around. So, can we still truly say the average Singaporean car-less junior executive (taking Mrt only) has "higher standard of living" than our unemployed junkie johorean. To believe that would be a joke yah as car ownership is one big measure of standard quality of living by all economic measures/benchmarks. But alas, as Singaporeans, we are also forced to think so as our currency is bigger. What's the point of big currency when our masses are stuck in lowest form of commute, their whole lives! Not just in their youth/young adult life but middle aged/old people can be found amongst SMRT.train swingers. Really quiet pathetic. And on separate vein, if you dont mind, why does SMRT feel like its an exclusively Malay Zone. Not very balanced form of diversity employment yeah. Just bouncing off my curiosity/concern here. Could spell future complications (for underrepresented passeneger grouos) if one Smrt group is disproportionately overrepresented

I was transiting in Changi airport to go to Brisbane when TEL 4 opened. I sadly didn’t have enough time to go out of the airport and go ride the TEL 4 since I only had 6 hours. I hope I can ride TEL 4 when I go to Singapore :)

If a train reaches the end of the line (or their last destination) the loco at the front uncouples and heads off to a turntable. It is then spun around 180° and comes to the back of the train. Then comes home this is called a return journey sorry for ruining the 200 comments
